Our "crazy" Christmas, 2009

Christmas 2009 seemed to come oh so fast. Rachel working the overnight shift at Target and I spent the first 2 weeks of December back in CT training for my job. With the business of this time of year the month of December seems to come and go by with the blink of an eye. Krystian and Krysteene were a big help and wrapped a lot of the presents. Since moving to Montana each Christmas seems to be different and we have not started any "new" Christmas traditions....some of our friends go out for Chinese food" on Christmas Eve while others stay in and eat buffalo wings and watch a movie "Christmas Vacation"...but no matter how busy we are or how hectic the days can become we need to keep Jesus Christ at the center of all we do. While we enjoy the presents, the food, the music and time with family and friends we need to remember to keep Jesus Christ at the center of it all and that when He was born in the MANGER He was already moving towards the CROSS. Merry Christmas!

Happy 15th Birthday Krysteene.

Krysteene celebrated her 15th Birthday, which is also Christmas Eve. We went to a family service at freshlife church and then she helped out in the kids ministry by playing with the 2yr olds. Not the way most 15yr olds spend their birthday but she seemed to be enjoying herself.

Snow angels.

We got our fist significant amount of snowfall for the year. It started to snow Saturday morning and didn't really stop until Sunday morning. It is expected to snow, off and on, until 5am Monday morning. As Krystian and I shoveled the snow from the driveway and sidewalks Kenneth and Kyersten took advantage of the time outside to make a few snow angels. The average temp this weekend was around 10 degrees but that didn't seem to slow us down. Now it's time for hot coco and possibly a hot bowl of soup for dinner...just what a body needs to warm up after being out in the cold.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well another Thanksgiving Day has come and gone....the day started out early eating bagels with the kids and ended with a stuffed tummy. All of the kids have a specialty dish they like to prepare and that makes it alot easier and it is fun to have them help out. Kenneth is our Jello man, Kyersten likes to make a baked pineapple dish, Krysteene does the sweet potatoes and Krystian takes care of the green bean casserol and mashed potatoes. As always there is more food than what we can eat, but that is OK...turkey sandwiches for the next few days!

Elk hunting trip 2009-Montana

Krys and I just got home from our 2nd annual elk hunting trip. This year I took 6 days off of work and we split our time between Monida south of Dillon and White Sulfur Springs east of Helena. Beautiful country, the Montana National Forests are awesome...at night the stars in the sky were unbelievable...great time spent with friends telling stories around a hugh camp fire...BUT not much success on the hunting part. Out of the five of us who went only one hunter shot 2 mule deer...doe and a buck. 6 days without a shower.....PHEW!

"Free Candy Day" 2009

Kenneth and Kyersten went out in the neighborhood for the annual gathering of the free candy. For those who don't know it by that name you may call it "Trick or Treating"...we prefer to call it "Free Candy Day". We spent a about 1 hour in our neighborhood and then went to a Family Night at a local church then ended the night going to our old neighborhood stopping by some friends homes. Our Pirate Lady and Spider man took in a bounty of goodies.

Opening Day 2009 Hunting Season- Montana

Opening day of the 2009 Hunting Season ended with a bang and a doe going down. Krys and I started out the day hiking up to an area that we hunted last year, and even though we saw a few deer they just didn't seem to cooperate and stop long enough to get a shot off. Soon after I got this doe her buddy...Mr. 3 point buck went down at the hands of my friend Scott. 1st day of the season...2 deer harvested...not to bad.

Krysteene's High School Banquet, FVHS

Krysteene was able to attend her first high school banquet on Thursday, April 9th. It was held at the lodge in Glacier Camp which has a beautiful view of the Flathead Lake. There were photos being taken, a great meal, music and an inspirational speaker from Youth With A Mission (YWAM).

S'mores

A family favorite is to make s'mores out on the deck, in the bbq. Sunday night was a little cool but it was still a fun time around the make shift camp fire.

Kyersten's Baptism !!!!!

Kyersten made the personal choice to accept Jesus Christ into her heart. We had several talks about Jesus and His plan for our lives....and for all of you that know Kyersten she had a lot of questions.

We go to an awesome church here in Kalispell (Fresh Life Church) and during the "Family" service on Christmas Eve our pastor, Levi Lusko, gave an invitation that if anyone wanted to have a personal relationship with Jesus that all they had to do was raise their hand and he would pray with them....and she raised her hand and said a short prayer and asked Jesus into her heart.

On Sunday March 1st, 2009 Kyersten was baptized as a public display for the personal decision she made to accept Jesus Christ into her heart.

She is a beautiful little girl and we are excited to see what great plans Jesus has for her life.
